Victorian ROIs are not open yet
Victoria announced its 2026-27 Skilled Visa Nomination Program on 13 October 2026, but has not yet opened Registrations of Interest or announced an opening date. Status last checked 15 October 2026.
How the Victorian Points Test treats construction trades
Most trade occupations are skill level 3, so they do not receive the 50 skill level points, and a trade qualification scores 25 for education. Tradespeople are ranked within the construction trades subgroup, so they compete mainly with other trades rather than with professionals. Experience, English and earnings in Victoria matter most.
Every ROI is scored out of 950 on age, English, experience, education, occupation skill level, partner skill and earnings from skilled work in Victoria. There is no pass mark.
