Victoria 190 and 491 nomination for nurses and midwives
Registered nurses, midwives and nurse practitioners are in Victoria's healthcare priority industry for 2026-27. Here is how the Victorian Points Test scores a typical nursing applicant.
Victorian ROIs are not open yet
Victoria announced its 2026-27 Skilled Visa Nomination Program on 13 October 2026, but has not yet opened Registrations of Interest or announced an opening date. Status last checked 15 October 2026.
How the Victorian Points Test treats nurses and midwives
Nursing occupations are skill level 1, so every nursing applicant receives the 50 skill level points. Because healthcare is a priority industry, nurses compete in a separate priority selection as well as the general pool.
Every ROI is scored out of 950 on age, English, experience, education, occupation skill level, partner skill and earnings from skilled work in Victoria. There is no pass mark.
