Victoria 190 and 491 nomination for teachers
Victoria's 2026-27 education priority industry is split into two subgroups: teachers, and early childhood education. Both are ranked with the Victorian Points Test.
Victorian ROIs are not open yet
Victoria announced its 2026-27 Skilled Visa Nomination Program on 13 October 2026, but has not yet opened Registrations of Interest or announced an opening date. Status last checked 15 October 2026.
How the Victorian Points Test treats teachers
Teaching occupations are skill level 1. Victoria invites the highest totals within each priority subgroup, so secondary and special needs teachers compete in the teachers subgroup and early childhood teachers in their own subgroup.
Every ROI is scored out of 950 on age, English, experience, education, occupation skill level, partner skill and earnings from skilled work in Victoria. There is no pass mark.
